How to Choose how you earn from sales
When your integration sells tickets, you earn either a commission or a markup. You choose this in the product's earnings settings.
The two earnings modes
- Commission: you earn a percentage of each sale and the buyer pays the normal price. It's only offered when Shows has enabled it for your workspace. Otherwise it shows as Not enabled.
- Markup: you add a percentage on top of the ticket price, and the buyer pays the higher price. The page shows the range you can use, for example Between 0% and 10%.
Change your earnings
- Open Settings › Products, choose Ticketing and go to Earnings settings. You can also get there from Sales › Earnings.
- Select Change earnings.
- Choose Commission or Markup and enter the percentage.
- Use Sample ticket price to see what the Buyer pays and what You earn.
- Select Review change, compare the Current terms with the New terms, then select Save.
New terms apply to orders placed after you save. Earlier orders keep their terms.
If Shows lowers the maximum markup, the page tells you. New quotes then use the lower maximum.
