Getting started with the Shows developer portal

The developer portal at developer.shows.ng lets you sell Shows event tickets and add-ons on your own website or app. You use it to get API access, create projects and keys, receive order updates and see your sales.

  1. Go to developer.shows.ng.
  2. Select Sign in with Shows and sign in with your Shows account. You don't need a separate developer account.

If you see Your sign-in session has ended, sign in again.

Choose a workspace

The first time you sign in, you're asked Who are you setting this up for? You see your Personal workspace and the organisations you own or manage on Shows.

  • To work for yourself, choose Personal workspace.
  • To work for an organisation, choose it. If it shows Not set up, select Set up workspace and confirm.
  • To start a new organisation, select Create organisation and enter its name, country and contact email.

Invitations from other organisations appear here too. Select Accept invitation or Decline.

To switch workspace later, open the workspace switcher at the top of the menu and choose another one.

Follow the setup steps

The Overview page shows a checklist. Each step shows its current state and a button for the next action:

  1. Set up your developer account: add your details and submit them for review.
  2. Get product access: apply for Ticketing access once your account is approved.
  3. Create a project: a project holds your keys, addresses and webhooks.
  4. Create API credentials: start with a sandbox key, then create a live key when you're ready.
  5. Add a webhook: get notified when orders change.

Once you're set up, the Overview also shows your active projects, live credentials, active webhooks, live requests in the last 30 days and your recent live orders.

Find your way around

  • Build › Projects: projects, keys, addresses, branding and webhooks.
  • Sales › Orders, Purchases and Earnings: what you've sold and earned.
  • Monitor › Usage: your API requests.
  • Reference › Docs: guides, the API reference and widgets.
  • Settings: your Developer account, Products and, in an organisation, Team.

If a page says No access, your role in this workspace doesn't include it. Ask the workspace Owner.
