Verify your identity as a Pro
You don't need to verify your identity to list on Shows Pros or to be paid. We may ask you to verify, for example to confirm who owns a storefront. You can only start verification after we ask.
Send your details
When we ask, you'll see We need you to verify your identity in your Pro workspace, and we email you.
- Open Verification and select Start verification.
- Enter your full legal name, ID type and ID number. Accepted IDs are a NIN slip, international passport, driver's licence or voter's card. Businesses also enter their CAC registration number.
- Upload the documents asked for: the front and back of your ID, a photo of you holding the ID, and for businesses, the CAC certificate. Use JPEG, PNG or PDF, up to 10 MB each.
- Select Send for verification.
After you send it
Shows staff check your documents and email you the result. If something needs changing, update it and send it again.
If you later change your registered business name, we may ask you to verify again with documents for the new name.
How your documents are protected
Your ID number is stored encrypted, and only its last four digits are shown back to you. Your documents are kept privately, can be opened only by Shows staff reviewing them, and every view is recorded. They are deleted 90 days after the decision.
